Coronavirus Live Updates: The Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi’s Nizamuddin has become the latest challenge in India’s fight against coronavirus after scores of people across states were found to have caught coronavirus after attending the event. The Tablighi Jamaat event defied lockdown orders in Delhi as over 3400 people gathered in the Nizamuddin Markaz building ignoring social distancing norms. States such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh have identified hundreds who attended the event and have now been quarantined. Meanwhile, coronavirus death toll in the US has crossed China’s toll and touched 3,400. The global death toll has crossed 41,000 while over 8 lakh are infected across over 170 countries.
